Does anyone have a suspension diagram that can be shared for this model? I need to fix the squeaking noise from front passenger side and would like to have an overview pic of the suspension system.

TIA.

I would say it is that, or a strut mount. I replaced my upper control arms and a few months later got a similar squeak from one of the mounts this time. Best way to figure it out is to have a friend bounce the front end while you listen. They can also rock the car side to side from above one of the front doors or lift up and down on the fender over a wheel. I find it's easier to lift and drop the car than push it down. Do it with the hood up so you can listen to the mounts.

To assess strut mount pop hood and look for a shift off center in housing compared to other side. check rubber gasket and spray with silicone, if squeak stops you found it.

Think ball joints if squeak also happens when turning wheel

i have a diagram of the front strut and the lower control arm but the site wont let me post it because it is too large.

to assess the control arms, couldnt one lift the vehicle, take the wheel/tire off and push/pull on the control arms?

i, too, think it is the upper control arms. ive replaced mine twice and both times, grabbed the parts from rock auto

No, that would be how you'd check your ball joints. The lower one can be bad and pass this test though. If you shake the wheel side to side you might get some action out of the lower. You really just shake the tire from all different angles and once you feel movement, see what's moving with your eyes.

Bushings are hard to spot since the squeak noise is made by small movements that you won't see. I feel different parts while someone else shakes the car. The vibrations will the strongest by the bushing that is making the noise.

Edit: I see that you're talking about actually moving the control arms. They would have to be really REALLY bad for you to be able to get any movement out of them. You should try to put a pry bar behind the joint to get more movement. But just because you can't physically move it doesn't mean the rubber isn't moving in the metal which would make a squeak.

That's not always going to work. Just because you spray something and you still hear the noise doesn't mean it's not a bad part. You might not get a full soak of whatever you're spraying. I like to feel it with my hand. Put your hand on the mount while someone else moves the car to make the sound. Compare it to the other side. You'll feel a difference if it's a squeaker.
